Our egg layers moved to pasture and they love it!!! We opened up the coop and the egg layers are now free to roam around the chicken wagon.
Every morning we open up the ramp doors and the front door to allow the chickens to leave the coop and roam around the pasture. We do keep electric chicken fencing surrounding the area so they aren't susceptible to predators. The evening temperatures are still pretty cool so we are keeping the wagon on the front pasture so we can run electric to the wagon for heat lamps at night.
We move the chicken wagon every day. This way the chickens graze on new grasses everyday and it keeps the areas where they graze cleaner.
